FIRST CONVENTION GALLERY
Peter Weston and I visited Queen Square in June 2011 and found it largely unchanged
from 1937, as you'll see if you compare the picture of us below with those taken
back then. The buildings in the background are long gone but the square itself, with
its attractive little park in the middle, looks much as it must have to the fans
gathered for their convention.

The first three pictures were clearly taken within minutes of each other. Since
Gottliffe is absent from the first two and Airey from the third, I think we can
reasonably conclude they were the photographer in each case.
